Learn to make your own adorable headbands with the DIY Headband Kit from Sew Bettie. This kit includes a pattern, detailed directions, 15" of elastic, and a piece of adorable cotton fabric (about 18" by 13"). The directions clearly explain each step, making this kit a great way to learn to sew. The directions are professionally printed on heavy card stock. The headband may be sewn by hand or with a machine.
The finished headband measures 2.5" at its widest point. It is about 20" in circumference with an elastic insert to ensure a good fit on most adults. It is easy to modify the pattern to alter the size to fit a little snugger or looser.
Once you have this kit and pattern, you can make as many headbands as your heart desires with your own fabric. Headbands make great gifts.
